It's a good, though incredibly hot, day. Zachary is having fun being at home, which I'm really glad to see. Right now he's hanging out with Bill, our contractor who's doing work on the house. Bill is really great with kids and doesn't mind Zachary hanging out with him while he works. And Zach really looks forward to the days when he's here. 🙂

As for myself, I'm finally recovered from my night of partying, lol. I got all the sleep I needed yesterday and last night. I evenmade dinner and started some laundry, yaaay! We put Zach to bed early last night because he was tired from his stay with Grandpa/Grandma. He was up too late watching movies, but that's okay once in awhile. They're the ones I trust the most with Zach, seeing that they've been actively involved with him since the day he was born. I'm so glad he has 2 sets of really loving grandparents, even though my Dad doesn't really have much to do with me or him. It's his loss really. He's missing a really awesome grandson!

Today is hot as Hades. Have I mentioned I hate summers in Florida? I HATE summers in Florida! So humid and heat indexes in the 100's. Stepping outside is like being in a sauna. Like I said to some people on their pages, I'm seriously thinking about taking Zachary to the county pool today. It's got a huge water playground for the kids that's even fun for the adults. He loves it there. And it's been quite awhile since we've gone.

Today is mostly going to consist of washing clothes, cleaning up some, playing games and drawing with Zachary, and getting dinner ready for everyone when they get home from work. Maybe later in the evening the 3 of us will go for a bike ride ~ it's been awhile since we've done that, and Zach always enjoys it. Now that he's learned to really ride he flies! There's nothing quite like a good bike ride to make you feel great.

I'm so grateful this weekend was such a good one for all of us. It provided some MUCH needed relief from reality and has done wonders for Aaron and I's relationship. We really needed that time to be just ourselves with friends and not have to be parents for a night. It's amazing what just one evening off can do. We need to do it more often. 🙂

I have a lower backache today and it won't seem to go away, so I'm probably going to spend some time on the couch watching movies with Zach. Maybe we'll go to the library when we swing by the grocery store and pick up something he wants to see. I usually enjoy kids movies too, lol. Especially anything Pixar. I intend to take him to the new Monster's Inc. movie when it comes out later this summer. He'll love it and I'm sure I will too.

Well, enough blabbering from me today. I need to get off my butt and do something productive. I have to go switch the laundry over and do another load of Zach's clothes now. That and pull out something to thaw for dinner and take care of the bunny's food, water and cage. There's always things that need to be done here. I wish you all a wonderful start to your week!      I always let my granddaughter (she's 8) stay up late, and also I give her cookies, lol.  She loves these indulgences she can't get at home and I love to indulge her.  I also play barbies with her or whatever she wants to do.  She's the boss here.

Maybe you should make a monthly or bi weekly "date" with your friends.  Sounds like it was a good time for all.  Yes, parents need a break.

I hope you have a great week.
